A great deal has been happening around CAAMA Technical recently.The new VAST upgrade for all CAAMA and related remote communities from Analog to Digital FM transmission has been completed, as well as completing site checkout for all of the CAAMA re-transmission sites. The re-transmission footprint for CAAMA Radio is the 2nd largest in Australia and the largest Indigenous owned and operated in Australia. Needless to say we’ve been very busy over the last few years. This was no small feat when one considers that this was in addition to our normal Technical duties of 24/7 support to the various Departments here at CAAMA HQ including Radio, Music, Productions & general site electronic & IT infrastructure, Outside Broadcast (OB) support & development both here in Alice Springs and Nationally. The Tech. department is also involved heavily in 3rd party support to various media events. Here are a few pic’s of the CAAMA Tech’s out and about over the last few months.
