
In November 2004, Caama’s Technical department supplied and installed transmission equipment to Alpurrurulam, a large community of 738 people, 600kms NW of Alice Springs, that until then, Had NO Radio Service.
We also installed the first Radio service to Utopia, an area 250kms NE of Alice Springs which consisted of 13 Outstations covering over 1000 people.
CAAMA’s radio broadcasts have shared distribution within the footprint area of the Imparja TV satellite transponder. Our broadcasts can also be picked up outside of this area if communities or media groups have their own retransmission sites and licence.

Installation and maintenance of CAAMA music, video and radio equipment, including CAAMA owned retransmission equipment in Ceduna, Coober Pedy, Alice Springs, Tennant Creek, Elliott and Katherine. CAAMA technicians also install and maintain Television and Radio transmission equipment for Remote Aboriginal communities covering Central and Southern parts of the Northern Territory and remote areas of South Australia.
